Learn exactly what to do daily to lose weight in Just 6 steps

In this post, you will learn five easy steps you can take right away to start losing weight without giving up on carbohydrate meals.

I guarantee you that if you can stick to these five easy steps, you will not only lose weight on Nigerian foods, but your health will be greatly improved as well.

Are you ready?

If you are, let’s get started…

Step 1: EAT WHOLE GRAINS

The first thing you need to do if you want to lose weight on Nigerian meals is to start eating whole grain foods.

Whole grain foods are foods made from the entire grain seed with all the nutrients and fiber still intact, including the bran, germ and endosperm.

Examples include brown rice, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, beans, ofada rice etc.

You should try as much as possible to avoid processed grains, and products made from these processed grains especially white flour, processed white rice, white bread, pasta made from refined flour, biscuits even crackers, baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pastries etc.

These contain little nutrients and fiber and can easily be overeaten.

Step 2: EAT HEALTHIER SWALLOWS

The next step is eating healthier swallows such as oat meal, whole wheat meal, pounded yam, unripe plantain swallow, and amala.

Garri and eba (fufu) are generally okay, but it is best to avoid these at the onset as they can easily be overeaten and are heavy as well.

And in case you don’t know, semovita is not recommended if you are trying to lose weight because it has very little fiber.
